On Tuesday, Gaven, Kamryn and I headed to the zoo with Gaven's preschool class.
Turtles in the water
With his friend AJ
Komodo Dragon
With his friend Isaac
Gaven is very proud that he now knows how to pump on the swings and it even works on the monkey swing!!
The lions weren't very exciting this day... all three of them looked like this:
It must have been nap time for the Rhinos, too.
The giraffes were getting a little frisky!
Gaven saw bluebonnets and wanted me to take a picture of him by them.
We finally made it around to the play area and Kamryn was more than happy to be out of the jogger!
I love this picture! We passed another stroller with a balloon tied to it. She tried as hard as she could, but no matter how high she reached, she just couldn't quite get it!
Lunchtime... messy faces, snotty noses and all!!
Trying to see the crocodile under the water...
No luck, though, because he was sunbathing!
Just before we got to the panther, we passed a little pond with frogs in it. Gaven, at the top of his lungs, shouts out, "Look, Mom, NURSING PADS!!!" Once I got my laughter under control, I asked him, "You mean lily pads, Gaven?" "Ya, Mom, LILY PADS!!!"
I think this was the most active turtle I have every seen. It was reaching its neck as far forward as it could in order to eat the grass almost beyond its reach!
And that was our zoo trip. We had great weather and a great time!
