Like any other family with three kiddos playing sports, we've been busy around here. We HAVE managed to do a few things other than baseball and soccer in our spare time, however! We got our pool set up for the summer. The boys were a big help in getting it moved over onto the sand. Probably because they realized that the more they helped, the faster it would get filled!
We got an Easter package from Jason's family on the same day... the boys loved the candy necklaces that their cousins made them!
Braeden has been pumped about his first pinewood derby being just around the corner. He and Jason got started on his car with a little whittling practice.
And of course there is always time for some muscle flexing!
Our friend was so kind to let us borrow his ban saw. It made cutting out the car a lot easier AND quicker!
Later that afternoon, Kamryn woke up from her nap to find that Jason's parents had sent HER some goodies, too. His mom finished up her quilt (that she's standing on) and the first thing she did was dance on it!
Then, she tasted her candy necklace. She wasn't too sure about it...
Now that Braeden's car had been cut out, it was time for the time consuming step of sanding!
While the boys were out back, Kamryn and I were inside taking care of our babies!
A little bit of spray paint that didn't actually turn out. It disappointingly bubbled and he ended up having to re-paint it.
"I saw them out here earlier! Where did my brothers go?"
Last, but not least, the pool was finally full of water and the kids begged to take the first dip of the summer.
I warned them that it would be cold!!
I guess that wasn't much of an April catch-up... more of a Friday/Saturday catch-up... more of April to come...
