Carsen's team played Monday night of District week, so we all went out to support him.

We were so blessed to have some generous friends from church that invited us to stay at their house for the week. They have 4 boys of their own and 1 of theirs was in the play-offs, too, so they totally get it! We had the upstairs to ourselves and it was a big load off my shoulders worrying and wondering where we would stay!
Braeden earning his keep...
There was a whole lot of baseball going on! Baseball outside, baseball inside with sock balls, baseball on the TV... etc, you name it they were playing it!
Next it was Braeden's team to get going...
I couldn't have been prouder of this little guy, not only is he at the younger end of his age division, he was picked up on a team and had to come into pressure situations and pitch, along with having some key hits and fielding play! This is a picture of one of his saves. He isn't an ace pitcher, but being a lefty, and having a different sort of drop on his ball, the kids have a hard time hitting him. He was able to spare some of the older starters crucial innings that they needed later in the week.
In the end, they took 3rd at the District tournament. We were ALL very proud!
Braeden and Aiden, one of the other boys that was picked up to play.
Aiden, Ty (one of Braeden's good friends that he's played with before), Braeden and Jalen. Ty is holding his first ever over the fence home run ball!! Way to go, buddy!
This is what a night until 11:30pm at the baseball field looks like:
In the middle of the week, Braeden actually got nailed in the face with the ball from about 15 feet away. They were softly playing catch and then his partner carelessly threw the ball at him as hard as he could and Braeden didn't even have a chance to get his glove up!
Pictures never do it justice! The whole side of his face was swollen!
This was a few days later...
As much as we were sad for baseball to be over, we were all happy to be headed to Dallas for good and not have to make any more trips back and forth. We did 9 in all.
